Pouriya Poursorkh is in comedy play ‘Alfred’

ifilm star of the series ‘Kimia’, Pouriya Poursorkh is on stage with new comedy play ‘Alfred’.

The new theatrical project which is interpreted from the work originally written by Pascal Nowacki is directed by Hadi Amel. Houman Hosseinzadeh has been in charge of the play translation.

A brief synopsis of the comedy play reads, ‘There are days like that where everything goes wrong. Gideon has a rotten name, he is jobless, he can’t manage a normal relationship, telephone advertisements don’t leave him alone and above all, he had a failed suicide. But to worsen the situation: Alfred arrives in his life, wanting to help him.’

Born in 1977, Poursorkh studied Plant Physiology and made his acting debut in 2004 with the series ‘Great Escape’. He gained fame with his performance in the series ‘Vafa’ in 2005.

Among the movies in which he has performed are ‘Anahita’, ‘Hussein Who Said No’ and ‘Mr. Alef’ (2012).

‘The Spiritualists’, ‘Day of Envy’, ‘The Redemption’, ‘Free Fall’, ‘Matador’ and ‘Kimiya’ are some of the series he has appeared in and has already been aired by ifilm.

For his performance in ‘The Third Day’, the actor received nomination for the Best Leading Actor from Fajr International Film Festival. 

The play has been on stage in Tehran since April 08, 2019.
